Hello fellow brothers and sisters of the leaf – we are excited to announce that our new project known to you all as Cigar Informer is off to a pretty great start and to help keep the momentum going we’ve added some new things, changed some things and implemented some new technology to help us all stay connected. We want to through a big shout out to all of you that have already followed us on Twitter, having only been online with Social for a few days we are making great connections already and hope to keep it up!

So, first order of business is that we are changing the way in which we announce the daily cigar deals – we have been doing a summary every day with a collection of deals around the web, however many retailers release new deals throughout the day and by only publishing deals we find once per day we are missing our on a lot of flash sales and deals to make you all aware of. So, starting with our Monday publish, we will be publishing cigar deals throughout the day as they become available. We will still be listing a deals of the day posting based on really great deals that we find online, however we will be following that up with the sales, promotions and flash sales published from online retailers around the web as well!

This new system of publishing cigar deals brings us to the next order of business – Cigar Informer has implemented push notifications on the website, so now you can be alerted anytime we publish a new deal, review or other article to the site! Because we will be publishing deals throughout the day now, we highly advise subscribing to our push notifications so you can get updates on the deals we discover throughout the day on cigars, accessories and other cigar related lifestyle products. Considering that many retailers run short flash sales that may only be valid for mere hours, you now have even more reason to subscribe to our push notifications to stay in the loop!

And finally, Cigar Informer has teamed up with Printful to start offering custom Cigar Informer branded merchandise to all our loyal readers and followers – Printful is a print on demand service, allowing us to design our products and offer them for sale without having to invest in a large stock of inventory up front. Now, because this is print on demand please be aware that there will be a lead time from when you order an item to when it ships – this is because Printful receives the order when you place it, but then has to manufacture the items that you have ordered. All the proceeds from sale of merchandise on Cigar Informer is being used for support of this website, including hosting, domain renewal, subscription fees for the services we use, etc., as well as to fund the purchase of cigars and accessories for review by Cigar Informer editors. We are also earmarking funds to start purchasing items for monthly contest giveaways, which we are hoping to start running soon!
